Dr. Charles Naumer's career has been largely dedicated to working with social sector organizations, focusing on enhancing their capacity to deliver impactful services through innovative technology solutions. With a strong foundation in research, business, and technology, he has consistently prioritized the integration of advanced tools to improve organizational effectiveness and societal impact.
Dr. Naumer's academic background reflects his deep commitment to understanding and improving human decision-making in complex contexts. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Pomona College, a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Governmentand a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Washington Information School. His research spans the fields of cognitive science, information science, and public policy. Currently, Dr. Naumer explores the development of artificial intelligence-based tools designed to augment human intelligence. His research and development efforts emphasize creating tools and frameworks that enhance human capacity to make sense of complex issues and improve decision-making processes. His work, which is widely published and cited, underscores his dedication to translating scholarly insights into practical solutions, particularly within the social sector.
In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Dr. Naumer is deeply committed to public service. He serves as a trustee and past Chair for the Jefferson County Public Library, the President of the Anchor Center for Blind Children, co-Chair of the Denver Braver Angels Alliance, and is a past appointee to the Colorado State Disability Funding Committee. Personal
He lives in Evergreen Colorado, in the foothills of the Rockies, with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys hiking, camping, biking and skiing in beautiful Colorado.
